Berjaya Philippines buys into 7-Eleven
Investment firm Berjaya Philippines has acquired a 1.59 per cent stake in 7-Eleven Malaysia, totalling 18 million shares.
The shareholding in the firm, which owns and operates 7-Eleven branded stores in Malaysia, sold for for PHP124.5 million (US$2.3 million). The chain is currently the largest convenience store network in the country with more than 2100 locations.
Berjaya has previously made investments into IT and a Filipino pizza brand.
