SM City Puerto Princesa styled like resort
A resort-style complex that reflects Palawan province’s tourism attractions, the SM City Puerto Princesa opens on September 15 as SM Prime Holding’s 64th mall.
On a 47,000sqm corner site in Barangay Poblacion, the three-level 54,000sqm mall is a short walk away from Baywalk Park. It features glass walls with a linear overhang. Lush landscaping and pools integrate the mall into its setting while providing sheltered walkways for pedestrians along the street.
Inside, the mall has a crisp and modern approach with textures and relaxing colours that offer a sense of being on a tropical holiday. A ceiling display features hundreds of delicate handcrafted Palawan wooden lanterns.
With The SM Store and SM Supermarket as its major anchors, SM City Puerto Princesa brings to Palawan a mix of the group’s brands, including Ace Hardware, Miniso, SM Appliance Center, Sports Central, Surplus and Watsons. Its 180 food and retail shops include international brands, and there are three cinemas including two Director’s Clubs.
A first for the city is the Powermac store in the mall’s Cyberzone, and there is a DermCare outlet in the wellness area.
Dining is over two levels offering views of Puerto Princesa Bay and Thumb Peak. The food offering includes specialty restaurants as well as international and local food chains. New dining options for the province include BreadTalk, Cabalen, CBTL, Kuya J, Mesa, RibShack and Turk’s Shawarma.
Palawan brands include Banh Pho Chao Long, Divine Sweets, Isla Casoy De Palawan, McCoys Brickoven Pizza, Puerto Electronico and Vogere by Bong Villanueva.
