Uniqlo Philippines expands in Visayas

Fast fashion retail brand Uniqlo Philippines expands its footprint in Visayas with the opening of two stores in SM Iloilo and SM Bacolod.

Geraldine Sia, GM of Uniqlo Philippines, said the Japanese retailer’s goal is to take its “high-quality and innovating pieces closer to Ilonggos”.

The new stores will offer a full range of everyday LifeWear essentials for men, women and children. This will include shirts, pants, proprietary products such as AlRism, and the newest range, Uniqlo Sports.

AlRism is one of Uniqlo’s proprietary products that is “as light as air”. Another apparel technology is Heatech, and Ultra-Light Down.

The line-up of graphic t-shirts include those featuring characters from Disney and Pixar movies.

Uniqlo is a brand of Japanese global retail holding company Fast Retailing, which designs, manufactures and sells clothing under seven main brands: Uniqlo, GU, Comptoir des Cotonniers, GU, Helmut Lang, J Brand, Princessetam.tam and Theory. It has global sales of about US$13.88 billion.

There are more than 1700 Uniqlo stores in 17 markets, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
